Lawn Mowing Price Calculator

Price mowing by lawn size, terrain and how often you visit. See the per-visit price and what the customer pays per month on a recurring plan.

How the price is figured

  • Lawn area is priced per 1,000 square feet at your rate.
  • Terrain raises the price for slopes and obstacles.
  • Frequency adjusts the per-visit price, since one-time and every-other-week cuts take longer.
  • Add-ons are added per visit, then the minimum applies.

Common questions

How much should I charge to mow a lawn?

Many lawn care pros charge $50 to $250 per visit depending on size, or about $0.01 to $0.06 per square foot. A quarter-acre lot often runs $25 to $60 per cut.

Should one-time cuts cost more than weekly service?

Yes. A one-time cut is usually overgrown, harder to schedule and does not repeat, so it is commonly priced 30 to 60 percent above a weekly visit.

How do I convert acres to square feet?

One acre is 43,560 square feet. A quarter acre is about 10,890 square feet, but the mowable lawn is often much smaller once you subtract the house, drive and beds.
